Hospital visit :
Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm
Resuscitation and intensive care visit:
Monday to Sunday from 3 pm to 5 pm

Food services

Our cooks as well as our dietician will make every effort to satisfy your needs by proposing you balanced and well-studied dishes. The meals distribution times are as follows:

  • Breakfast at 7:30 am
  • Lunch at 12 pm
  • Snack at 3:30 pm
  • Dinner at 6:30 pm

You can also benefit from additional services such as tea, bottled water, coffee, etc.


In order to further your comfort, the Essalem clinic offers you three types of rooms among which you can choose freely:

  • A single room
  • A double room
  • A luxurious room

Depending on the availability of rooms, we will do our best to satisfy your request. All our rooms are equipped with central air conditioning and heating.

You also have a TV that you can get its remote from your care service. A guarantee bond will be required. In addition, if you wish, one of your family members can accompany you during your stay.

Property management

All the elements of the medical file such as analyzes, radiological explorations as well as the drugs will be returned to the patient when he leaves our establishment.

Personal or valuable items can be deposited at the cash desk against a discharge, and later handed over to the patient or his family at their request.

Practical advices

In order to minimize the waiting time during your admission to our establishment, please bring the following documents:

  • A National Identity Card
  • The passport if the patient is foreign
  • A proof of coverage if its available
  • The latest results of biological and radiological examinations.

For your stay, plan to bring a pajama, slippers, washcloths, a bath towel, a toothbrush, a toothpaste, a shampoo, etc.

The provided services and the corresponding prices are displayed in the reception hall, the billing department as well as in rooms.

The Essalem clinic provides its patients with a type A medical ambulance. In the event of unavailability of our ambulance or for any other type of medical transport, an agreement is established between the Essalem clinic and an approved carrier. The costs are borne by the patient.

All our rooms are equipped with TVs. To benefit from it, the patient or a family member is asked to request a remote control from the caregiver. A guarantee bond is required to benefit from this service and will be returned at the end of the stay.

Our establishment has a safe dedicated to the preservation of valuable items; if you wish to keep them by yourself, the clinic is not responsible, in this case, for their eventual disappearance. The patient is requested to take all his belongings when he leaves.

Reception agents are at your service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

On the day of your admission, you will be welcomed by our hostesses who will help you in the administrative procedures throughout the constitution of your file.

You will be asked to present your national identity card if you are a Tunisian patient or your passport if you are a foreigner.

In order to facilitate the procedure of your admission to our establishment, we recommend that you bring the necessary documents that can help you in your care:

  • Your National Identity Card
  • Your letter of liaison
  • Your proof of coverage if you have it
  • Your latest results of biological and radiological examinations

Also remember to bring your personal medications and recent prescriptions.

The administrative formalities of your file constitution will be assured by our hostesses at the reception on the ground floor. A deposit will be required depending on the reason of your admission.

A room will be proposed to you according to your choice and our availabilities (a single room, a double room or a luxury room).

The clinic takes care of patients in the context of a day hospitalization with a short duration that does not exceed 2 hours.

The clinic also supports patients for half a day. In any case, the duration of your hospitalization will be fixed in agreement with your doctor.

For your stay, remember to bring with you: pyjamas, slippers, a dressing gown, etc.

As well as : washcloths, a bath towel, a toothbrush, a toothpaste, a shampoo, a shaver, etc.

All hospital rooms are equipped with a TV. To benefit from it, please request a remote control from the nursing staff under a guarantee bond, which will be returned to you at the end of your stay.

The nurses of the care unit will welcome you in the best conditions.

It will be required to recover your file and all your medical documents (the liaison letter, the results of assessments, the current prescriptions, etc.) as well as to inform your doctor.

You will be directed to your room and the staff will show you how to use the alarm call, the air conditioning, the television, the phone, the bed and other items work.

Once placed in your room, we invite you to deposit the valuable or personal items, at the cash register against a discharge. Two members of the care unit will assist you in this procedure.

Your doctor determines the date of your discharge and our nurses take care of your exit arrangements.

The patient or one of his family members will have to settle the paperwork in the billing service before the exit.

We invite our patients or their companion to complete the satisfaction survey or complaints register in order to improve the quality of our services.
